Ron Skinner and Sons have long been fans of local boy done good Mark Williams, and are delighted to be able to renew their sponsorship of The Welsh Wonder for a further year.
And undoubtedly Mark is rather happy with the deal too given last winter’s snowy jaunt down to Wembley. With trains from Wales to London already cancelled, the two time world champion was lent a top of the range 4x4 to make sure the weather didn’t complicate the journey to compete in The Masters.
Mark, who lives in a rural part of Wales, had been unable to move his cars for over a week, so Ron Skinner & Sons promptly stepped in with the carriage to make sure Mark did go to the ball. However, en route Mark and passenger Stephen Hendry, who has won the world championship a mere seven times, were involved in an accident which damaged Mark’s shoulder and Stephen’s back. However, in true Welsh spirit Mark soldered on, despite a sore shoulder.
Such fighting spirit is exactly why we are so happy to be able to sponsor Mark.
